Hello wonderful mathematics people, this is Anna Cox from
Kellogg Community College.
Parallel lines have the same slope.
Perpendicular lines have slopes that are negative reciprocals.
The two slopes multiply to give -1.
The average rate of change is the change of Y over the change
of X, sometimes thought as the function of X2 minus the
function of X 1 / X two minus X1.
The average velocity of an object is the change in the
distance over the change of time.
Because we're using different variables, we're using S for
distance and T for time.
It's S or the distance at time 2 minus the distance at time 1
divided by the, or the time at time 2 minus the time at time 1.
Thank you and have a wonderful day.
