OK, to define G of seven, we're going to factor this and realize
A2 comes out and we get X ^2 -, 49.
Two comes out of the bottom and we get X -, 7.
The top continues to factor because its difference of
squares X + 7 X -7 two over X -, 7.
So this is really all going to reduce down to X + 7.
But X couldn't equal 7.
There was a hole in the graph because if I put 7 into the
original, we'd get a zero in the denominator.
So if we want to do a continuous extension, we'd use a capital
letter G of X, and we'd say that that's going to equal G of X for
every value where X doesn't equal 7.
Well, if X = 7, we need to figure out the value to plug in
that hole, and we're going to put it right in here.
So 7 + 7 would give us a 1414 is defined, but if I stuck the
seven into the original, it's not defined.
So this is an equivalent that would fill our hole.
