OK, when doing this problem, we're going to grab our graphing calculators and we're going to input our information. So in our graphing calculator, I'm going to go to the home key, I'm going to go to settings, I'm going to look at document settings, I'm going to make sure I'm in degree, and then I'm going to make that the default. And I'm just going to start a new document. I don't want to save anything and I want to go into calculator. So when we look at this problem, it talks about 2π / 360 * 3960 and then we have all these various angles. So I'm actually going to store these angles into my calculator to make it easier. So when we look at this problem, going back to my calculator, I'm going to take 42 + 40 / 60 and I'm going to do a store feature and on this calculator control STO. And I'm going to just put the first one in letter A and then the next one is going to be a negative of 88 + 47 / 60. And I'm just going to store that in B because then I don't have to keep retyping these angles the next 122 + 12 / 60. And I'm going to store that into C And finally, the negative parenthesis of 139 + 51 / 60 and store that one into D Now if we go back and we look at the problem again, it's telling us north and West. But W is going to be in the negative direction because it's going to the left. North is going to be positive because it's going up. West is going to be negative. Hence all of my storing we have 2π / 360 * 3960. So when we come in here, we're going to have, we're going to have 2π / 360 * 3960. Did I do that right? So 22π and then I'm going to multiply that by cosine inverse of cosine of A times. And I need to close my parenthesis and then a cosine of B and a ), cosine of C ), cosine of d ). And then all of that was plus cosine of a ), sine of b ), cosine of C ), sine of d ), plus sine of a ), sine of C ). And then close the parenthesis for that cosine inverse. That started control and enter will give me 3238.09 when we come back here. 3238 was our correct answer. Hope this helps.
