When doing this problem, it's going to be the change of the YS
divided by the change of the X.
It does not matter which point comes first as long as we're
consistent.
So if the 11.5 comes first, then the X that goes with it or the
negative 7.4 has to come first.
So when we subtract this, we're going to get -1.7 / +1 so -1.7.
But the directions say that we want to put it in fractional
form, so we want to multiply this by 10 / 10 to get rid of
the fraction within or the get rid of the decimal, I'm sorry,
within the fraction.
So we'd get -17 over 10.
We could have done the 13.2 first.
If we had done 13.2 - 11.5 / -8.4 - -7.4 we would have a +1.7
/ -1.
We don't ever leave a decimal inside a fraction.
If I multiply the top and the bottom each by 10, we'd get 17 /
-10.
And we never leave a negative in the bottom.
We either put it on top or pull it out in front.
