And this problem, we're going to start with our point slope form. So Y minus our Y value equal, our slope times X minus our X value minus negative is going to turn into a plus. We're going to distribute out that eight nights. So we're going to get eight nights X. Remember that that 7 is really the same thing as 7 / 1. So when I multiply that, I'm going to get 56 / 9 and it's going to be negative because the negative sign in front. Now I want to get Y by itself, so I have to get rid of that plus four, which means I'm going to subtract 4. Now to combine the -56 ninths in the -4, we need to get a common denominator so that 4 / 1 needs to turn into something over 9. The easiest way I can tell you is to think you did what to 1. To get nine, you multiplied 1 by 9. If we do the bottom, we need to do the top, so we're going to get 36 ninths. So if we come back here and we have Y equaling 896 minus 56 nights -36 nights, once the denominators are the same, we just add or combine the numerators. So if I have a negative 56 and a -36, that's going to give me -92 and that's still over 9.
