2-5-35 point-slope form
X

    CC
Find an equation line having the given slope and containing the given point. So we're going to use point slope form that says y -, y one equal M times the quantity X -, X one. So y - -4 equal -7 ninths X -, 9 minus negative is a plus. We're going to distribute that -7 ninths. So a negative times a negative is positive. This nine is understood over a one. So the nine in the numerator and the 9 into the denominator when we multiply out will cancel and we get a + 7. So if we then subtract the four to the other side, we get y -, 7 ninths or Y equal -7 nine X + 3.
