When solving using the elimination method, we need to
have the coefficients being additive inverses and we can see
that the YS currently are.
So if we just took these two equations and added directly,
we'd get 9X equaling 18X equal 2.
Now to continue doing the elimination method to get rid of
the XS, we need to look at 5X and 4X and realize that the
common coefficient would be 20X and we want one of those to be
positive and one to be negative.
So I'm going to look at this sign here, and I'm going to
multiply this top one through by a -4 all the way through.
So I'd get negative twenty X + 20 Y equaling -120.
If I look at the second equation, we're going to
multiply it all the way through by A5 and we're going to get
twenty X + 25 Y equaling -60.
When we add those, the X's then cancel and we get 45 Y equaling
-180.
So Y is going to equal -4.
