Hi, wonderful, amazing math students.
I want to walk you through how to get registered for your
proctored test that's coming up.
So first thing, if you haven't done it already, you need to
fill out this form.
You need to fill it out no matter where you're taking it.
In Europe and Wisconsin, it really doesn't matter.
This absolutely must be filled out.
It gives me all the information of the person to send the test
to where you're taking it, etcetera.
This goes into a Google document for me.
So you only need to fill it out once, but if you haven't filled
it out, it's under course home and please do that immediately.
I'll be sending out e-mail shortly for anybody who hasn't
filled it out yet.
So if you don't get an e-mail, I already have the information I
need.
Another question that's been arising that I want to make sure
everybody knows that I talked about in the last video is in
the assignments area, all of the due dates are under openness
documents.
So if we click right here, we can see here's all the due
dates, the homework, what it's worth, etcetera.
So our first Proctor test has to be taken on or before September
24th.
You may use a calculator.
You absolutely must show me all your work.
A single answer will get you no credit.
You must show me the work.
The other piece of information here that's worth noting is that
the directions give a little more detail of what's expected.
Now, if you're taking the test anywhere, you're responsible for
making sure you get an appointment made.
If you're taking it off campus, you need to contact whoever is
going to be proctoring it and set up a time and know that you
have a maximum of two hours.
You probably won't need that long, but I want the time not to
be an issue.
So schedule 2 hours.
It has to be consecutive, so you can't do an hour, come back and
or leave and then come back.
It has to be two hours in a row.
If you're taking it at a regional center, you want to
click over here for the information and you need to call
and make an appointment.
So say I'm taking it at the girl center, I'm going to click here
and there's a contact us button right here.
So you want to call them and find out when they do testing
and make an appointment.
So you, the student 100% responsible for making the
appointment, make sure that you've taken it on or before the
due date.
So this one coming up is September 24th.
Now, the Battle Creek campus has a new policy.
Starting this semester, you must schedule your test in any and
all of your classes.
So if you're taking a test in the testing center, it's no
longer a walk in.
You're going to go to departments at KCC from the KCC
homepage, then you're going to go to academic Support, and then
you're going to go to Academic testing.
From here, you're going to click right here to schedule your
test.
Please be aware the dates and times that you can go in have
changed.
They're now doing Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 8:00 AM to 8:00
PM.
That's a 12 hour window and Thursdays from 1:50.
So click right here and you're going to come up with the
scheduling.
So you're going to choose your date.
They're going to be adding other options here.
Right now all there is is a 30 minute, but there should be an
option of a 2 hour lab or two hour test shortly or you may
have to choose multiple 30 minutes.
Right now I cannot do that, but there will be other options
here.
You're going to enter your contact information, first name,
last name, phone numbers.
Please make sure you use ones that are accurate, where people
can reach you.
And the e-mail, you're going to just tell them, is it a computer
or is it paper pencil?
All of ours are going to be paper pencil.
So if I wanted to do 11:50, I'm going to click 10.
I would click all these boxes.
And right now I realize it doesn't work, but it will.
This is a new system for all of us.
And once you're done, you're going to hit confirm.
We've been informed that of all of the time slots have been
taken that they will add more.
So please, if that doesn't happen, let me know if you're
needing help.
You can come up here if you need to review the appointments.
It's also right here.
Judy Reed, I believe, is the person who's in charge of this.
So if you're having questions or concerns, she would be one of
the people to contact.
So if we click on the bridge, that's actually where the
testing is going to occur.
If you're having issues, make sure to contact under contact us
right here at the 2296 so or, or you can let me know and I'll
pass it along.
So you absolutely are responsible.
You cannot take tests late for any reason.
They're due on or before the due date.
If you're going to take it very much before the due date, let me
know.
I usually don't get the test there until two or three days
early, and the reason is for some confidentiality issues and
I don't want tests to get lost if I send them too early.
Have a great, great day and make sure to continue sending me
questions as you have them.
I'm here to help you.
I want you to be successful.
