Hi everyone, a short quick intro video. If you go to www.kellogg.edu, you can find my homepage by going to faculty and staff and faculty web page. I'm the first one. We're in Calc 3. So right here is going to be a lot of important and useful information. So our course compass code, which I'm going to talk you through in just a moment, is going to be Cox 35O64 school zip 49 O 1/7. Our iPad Ask 3 code right now is 85501. You were asked to take an Ask 3 questionnaire. If you haven't done it right, here it is. And to give some feedback here, Ask 3 feedback. This one I believe you can do free response. Our syllabus is here. This is a massive trig review of identities. It's in just over an hour. Unit circle game and then chapter 12 we click on chapter 12. Section one has a video made. Section 2 I made out on Ask 3, so please go and look at it on Ask 3I double clicked a little too fast so it doesn't have the label vectors, but hopefully in the future that'll correct itself. I will be listing more homework as we go also right here. You can return to my page from here. You can also go back to my homepage which has my schedule on it, which might be very beneficial, along with how to contact me. Here's my e-mail, my school phone number, the fax machine, and where my office is. So here's my current schedule for this semester. I should probably take the word tentative off now that I know what I'm really teaching. If you go back into our Calc 3 and you click on course Compass, we're going to come up with a window that looks like this. If you click on sign in, you're going to oh, sorry, let's go back a second. If you've never been on Course Compass before, you need to do a register as a student or an educator. I sent you in an e-mail the code to get registered and the publisher is given all students access to this course. That's a pretty big thing because if you have to purchase it, it's like $70.00 I believe, or something. So once you get registered, just sign in. If you used it last semester, you can just use the same sign in and you're going to type in the course code and whatnot. And once you do that, you're going to see Fall 13, Math 241. It's somewhere in your list. My computer is being a little slow. I apologize. Come on, come on. So once you get in here, it is going to look a little different than it has in the past. My guess is all of these little icons that have a circle with a slash through it, you probably are not being able to see, which is fine. Study plan corresponds with our textbook. If you click on it, it will come up with all of the problems that our textbook has listed. Now the problem is, as we go further into the chapters, it's much more challenging to get problems that have answers. So they give a lot more multiple choice. And hence we're not going to be doing the homework online. However, if you want to see some homework, say I assign you #29 and Chapter 12, Section 1 and you don't know how to do it, you could always come in here and click. And once it opens over here on the right, where did it go? Over here on the right is a view, an example. So if you don't know what to do, you could always use this as a reference to come in and look through and have it discuss exactly what's going on. OK, You can also from in here, send me an e-mail, ask my instructor that talks about this problem in particular. So there's actually some really nice useful things in here. Chapter contents is where you can find your entire technology or your entire book. All the technology student solutions manual is turned on, so you can click here to find the odd number exercises worked out. If you click on chapter 12 and you open it, it will. It actually is a video that comes with the textbook. There's the multimedia E text, which is what I think probably most of you will be using who use things online and it goes through, gives pictures, gives examples, and then the homework is right here. Also, when you click on the homework, if you want to, this is interactive homework. So if you click here, it actually opens up to the multimedia textbooks. So once again, you can find the homework this way if you're needing help with solving and review an example. So it's really important that everybody registers on this course Compass site. If I need to send out an e-mail, I will send it out through here. So use whatever e-mail you check on a regular basis and know that I will send out under course tools. You actually can send it out to each other also, but under e-mail. I can add everybody in the class in one time and send out an e-mail. Doesn't happen often, but sometimes, well, actually, I shouldn't say that does happen fairly often. So make sure that you get registered, OK, Make sure you check Ask 3 and remember that you have your introductory video due on Tuesday along with responding to at least three people's. Have a great day. See you in class.
